Have a specific caption shown for each photo

Which can be customized as to appearance (font, text size, colour, shadow), placement (bottom, top, specific coordinates), justification (right, left, centre), etc.

I was hoping to use this program to produce a slideshow of a relative's life for his birthday, but without the option to briefly describe and date each photo easily, I had to turn to other software.
